Architectury API Mod for Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.2, 1.20.1 and 1.19.2, facilitates both the use and sharing of cross-platform mods, and is an open source add-on. That is, some developers make use of it to facilitate and save work on their creations.
Basically, Forge and Fabric have different implementations, and therefore the transfer of information from one executable to the other can be too cumbersome, something that the creator has taken care to facilitate. Moreover, it is an active add-on and receives a new update every few days.
This fantastic add-on regularly receives new features, and currently, it already has more than a hundred mods that require its use. Therefore, players will be obliged to place it in the “mods” folder in order to be able to make use of it.
In other words, if this add-on is not installed, some mods will not be able to be executed at all, as the creators have used some of the Architectury API functions. One of the main advantages is that its code is open source, so it can be modified by anyone.
Thanks to this add-on, mod developers will have less difficulty in releasing alternative versions of the Forge and Fabric executables.
