Corpse Mod for Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.1, 1.19.4 and 1.18.2, introduces a new mechanic at death, as the body will now remain at the place of death. This feature brings a great deal of immersion and strategy to the game, as the corpse will contain all the items that the player had in their inventory at the time of their death.
Firstly, when a player dies, their corpse will immediately appear at the location of their death, and most notably, this corpse will carry the player’s skin with it. In addition, the corpse will function as a container that stores all the items the player had, with no capacity limit.
To access the stored objects, it is as easy as right-clicking on it. After this, the corpse will automatically disappear. Importantly, it is designed to be rugged and cannot fall into a vacuum or burn. Furthermore, after one hour, the corpse will transform into a skeleton, without altering its functionality.
An additional advantage is that when the player intends to retrieve their items, they will return to their original slots, making it easier to recover and manage resources after death. The mod also introduces a kill history system (by pressing the “U” key) that allows players to keep track of their past kills.
Finally, Corpse allows players to customise their experience through various configuration options. These options include determining who can access the corpse’s inventory, whether all players can access the corpse in its skeleton phase, adjusting the time before a corpse disappears if it is empty or full…
