JourneyMap Mod for Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.1, 1.19.4 and 1.19.2, adds a very useful mini-map of sorts so players can know exactly where they and important areas are located. Basically, the map will record their passage through the different biomes of the game.
Similarly, it will be possible to create customised maps of the areas that have been explored, using a variety of navigation tools to facilitate gameplay. In addition, the map can be displayed both in full screen and in a miniature (floating) display.
The map can be customised from start to finish, and for example, the colours can be changed to suit the player’s preferences, as well as the day/night mode or the creature display. With respect to the latter, the map allows for the display of indicators of where nearby beings are located (which is fully configurable).
On the other hand, the most important function desired by the community is the addition of markers on the map, which will facilitate transport to places that have been marked. This is often used in order not to lose the location of houses, villages, caves, biomes, structures or other important areas.
All JourneyMap controls can be configured without any inconvenience, and in fact, it is recommended for games with a lot of mods (there might be incompatibilities otherwise). By default, the controls are as follows:
