Responsive Shields Mod for Minecraft 1.20.2, 1.20.1 and 1.19.2

Responsive Shields Mod for Minecraft 1.20.2, 1.20.1 and 1.19.2, removes the default five tick delay from shields, making them much more cost-effective for combat. In other words, the chance of taking damage due to game lag will be considerably reduced.

It is quite common that when shot by a skeleton, the shield does not work as it should, and the time it takes to charge causes the arrow to be received. This add-on leaves it up to the players to decide what to do with this feature, whether to modify it or remove it altogether.

Responsive Shields hará que los escudos sean más útiles.
Los enemigos están atacando al jugador que se está protegiendo con el escudo.

Moreover, these changes made by the creator are perfectly compatible with other thematic mods or other similar elements, so their incorporation into games is highly recommended. Now, by default, the game will not take any ticks to respond (that is, it drops from five to zero).

In the vanilla version, the shield loading animation takes approximately 2 ticks to complete, so it is recommended to change the number of ticks to two. All this can be modified from the add-on file, which is located in the “.minecraft” folder, and is called “responsive-shields.toml”.

Con el escudo, los jugadores no recibirán tanto daño de los enemigos.
Los escudos ahora serán mucho más útiles.
El jugador está siendo atacado por un esqueleto, pero se protege con un escudo.

More information:

With this add-on installed, Minecraft shields will no longer have any kind of loading animation, so the reaction to clicking will be automatic. This is ideal in more aggressive games, where avoiding a skeleton shot can mean losing or not losing the game.
